While it may not standup to the current line up of high-end phones currently in the market, the LG BL40 stands out as the 4th handset in LG’s Black Label Series and successor to the highly-acclaimed LG Chocolate (which is currently ranked on the top 5 of most sold handsets in the world).

The 4-inch touchscreen has a resolution of 345×800 pixels and the BL40 itself carries an internal storage of 1.1GB and supports up to 32GB via microSD card. For connectivity, it has WiFi 802.11 b/g, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, GPS, and Bluetooth 2.1.

The LG BL40 also offers an impressive mobile multimedia experience, carrying an FM tuner, an FM transmitter, Dolby Mobile sound speakers, 3.5mm audio jack and TV out. Want to take pictures as well? The BL40 Chocolate is well equipped a 5 MP autofocus camera (Schneider-Kreuznach optics). Not a Carl Zeiss but at this price point, it’s quite impressive.
